It is with a heavy heart today that we are thinking of one of our trainees in India, Guria. Her daughter went missing over the weekend and was later found brutally murdered. There is strong evidence of foul play and rape. She was only ten years old. This is a brutal truth to report, and a devastation to our nomi network community in Bihar, India and New York. It is a difficult reminder of why we do what we do. The world can be a tragic place, but it is humanity that is its only standing chance. We stand committed to the women and girls around the world who know these pains, and we ask that you hold this mother and her family in your hearts today. She bears an unimaginable pain and reality.
