It is with a sad heart and a tired body that I give you an update on the 3 wee kittens that were born at the shelter. The little babies were born prematurely and just were not strong enough to survive. Since the Mama was a baby herself and did not have any milk, my daughter and I took them home and worked with them for 3 straight days. My daughter spent the first night on her bathroom floor with the newborns and a nursing Mom that we were already fostering. She had 4 4- week old babies and allowed them to nurse. She would clean them up afterwards and loved them like they were her own. However, we did not think that they were receiving enough nourishment, so we also supplemented diluted kitten replacement milk. they had non-stop care and knew love for their short lives. We have fostered over 40 kittens so far, and knew that it was going to be a miracle if these babies survived. Even tho the end result was sad, we would gladly do it all over again for that one slight chance that they will make it. Tanya
