It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I share with you the news of untimely death of Iranian artist -- painter and poet -- Kami Kotobi (Kamis Corner) based in S. California. Weve lost a talented artist and a kind, sensitive soul. I had the pleasure of meeting him on a couple of occasions and seeing some of his wonderful paintings. Though he was not well-known in the SF Bay Area, he had a few of his works exhibited at Art People Gallery in SF. Below is an interview with him from 2013 about his art that you should watch. His paintings are mostly modern and abstract collages that sometimes also include small verses of his own poetry.
