It is with great excitement that I announce one of the special musical acts for Le Mystique Masquerade Ball on October 31st, a young lady who is fast making a big name for herself across North America, Diia. If you havent already heard of her, or seen her debut video below, you soon will. Shell be performing several songs from her debut album on the 31st. The singer/songwriter released her her first self-written EP More Than Ordinary in 2012. Following that, in 2013,was the self-written EP Kaleidoscope Eyes which is where the attention started to shift. Diia caught the attention of Brandon Paddock; who previously worked with Avril Lavigne. The two penned and produced music together, an experience Diia describes as being “invaluable to her growth as an artist”. Soon after Diia met Canadian icon Dan Hill (Sometimes When We Touch), and the two are currently creating music together. In addition to this are collaborations w/ UK outfit Frequency, and Canadian producer/artist Cugini. A born performer, she has also self-produced 2 music videos for her songs: Alone and Nothing Without; both of which showcase her unique personality and diverse skill-set. The media has recognized this hard work and Diia has been heard both on Canadian and American radio and TV, where she has been featured on CHRY’s 105.5 FM, Radio Humber 96.9 FM, and on OMNI TVs ‘V-mix program. Diia is cementing her place as one of Canadas most promising up and coming stars and we are delighted to have her serenade us with her siren voice and immense talent on this special night.
