It is with great regret and sadness that I have to inform the Drum - TopicsExpress

It is with great regret and sadness that I have to inform the Drum Corps & Marching Band community of the passing of Andy Bradbury yesterday. Andy died peacefully in the Royal Berkshire Hospital after complications from a heart attack. Those who knew Andy will understand how much he loved music, teaching young people and the activity as a whole on both sides of the pond. As a former Boston Crusaders Alumni and founder member of Cadence Drum & Bugle Corps he was a part of the Corps from 1991 through to the DCUK Championship year of 1999 and all the way through our non competitive period from 2005-2008. He was instrumental in the rebirth and rebuilding programme since 2005 and was a key educator in every season the Corps has been in existence. Andy was also a respected adjudicator serving on the DCUK judging panel for a number of years. His guidance in the past few years has been invaluable to the current Cadence staff team and his presence will be surely missed in the second half of 2014 and beyond. Any funeral details are not yet known and I will share any such details once Andys wife and immediate family decide on the type of service they would like to proceed with. Any messages of condolence can be sent to cadencedbc@googlemail and these will be passed on to his family. We have lost a great man who gave so much to the activity with not one ounce of arrogance or ego. The Cadence family have lost a friend and mentor who will be sorely missed by all.
