It just keeps getting better and better... social security has denied Lizas reconsideration for disability again saying she hasnt worked in the past ten years. It doesnt matter that she has worked since she was 16 and has paid in all these years (although for the last ten years she raised the kids,raised a little girl who wasnt biologically hers and ran the household). It all comes down to wording....Liza has what the doctors have called Acute kidney failure which doesnt qualify for benefits. Now if the doctors say she has end stage kidney failure she automatically qualifies. It doesnt change her treatment at all to my knowledge. And get this, liver cirrhosis doesnt qualify at all. Now a person can live with non working kidneys but once the liver completely gives up the outcome is death within 48hrs. so I have been told and have read. Ive filled out so much paperwork,talked to at least 10-15 doctors,dealt with two hospitals and two nursing homes,5 social workers and still work a full time job paying in to s.s and I get the b.s....now I understand why some people go postal!...rant over
