It just struck me--this notable difference between Victor James Dougherty and me. So, Victor packed a gluten-free cupcake (leftover from our wedding cake tasting yesterday) for lunch today. He dashed off to school (where he teaches) and forgot it on the kitchen counter, where I, ahem, encountered it. Had the situation been reversed, and I had accidentally left the cupcake, you can bet Victors thought process would be: How might I find a way to get someone to sub for me so I can drive 30 minutes to my beloveds school and deliver this cupcake to her! MY thought process, on the other hand, was more like. Hmm. Wow. THAT cupcake looks DELICIOUS. Oh, rats, but I love Victor, so I will DO MY BEST to REFRAIN from EATING this cupcake!!! Its always good to surround ourselves with those who model the kind of person we, from our own souls urging, aspire to be and thereby call us to a higher expression of our True Selves.
