It looks as if Key West Police Department officers killed a Michigan retiree during a traffic stop last November, then staged a coverup by falsifying a police report. According to their report, Charles Eimers, 61, fled the scene after a traffic stop, running to a beach, where he collapsed. Officers reportedly found him with no pulse. The #police said Eimers died from a pre-existing condition, but no autopsy was performed, and Eimers body was quickly sent to a funeral home where it was almost cremated, without anyone informing his family. Tissue samples from the hospital were destroyed. Then a video shot by a passerby surfaced (fb/video.php?v=843019132382512). It shows Eimers getting out of his car and voluntarily lying face-down on the ground as officers approach him with their guns drawn. According to a preliminary autopsy report, Eimers had 10 fractured ribs, the neurons in his brain turned red due to lack of oxygen, his trachea was abnormally red, and his lungs showed signs of tissue damage. This could indicate that Eimers was roughed up by police and smothered in the sand. Looks like the good old boy network down in #KeyWest has some serious explaining to do. #FloridaCopWatch ACCOUNTABILITY CHECK!
