It looks like I may be getting that larger apartment (for less rent) after all. I did not know if that apartment would still be available after having to wait a few weeks for everything else to come together, but finally, things are coming together and I am about to go pay the deposit on that unit. The biggest drawback to that other apartment is that it is right smack-dab next to a freeway. That is probably why it is still available. If I had a better option, I would go for it, but the floor space in that unit, and the lower rent, makes it worth it for me to move there. I just hope that those nearby freeway traffic fumes do not cause my breathing issues to get worse. But then, where I live now is sandwiched between a smaller freeway (not quite as close) and a heavily traveled city street, so there really might not be that big of a difference in toxic fume levels between here and there.
