It looks like, despite all the protests, we survived another blast - TopicsExpress

It looks like, despite all the protests, we survived another blast of cold air and can now look forward to the seemingly balmy days ahead. It still might be wise to hunker down with a stack of movies, though. The biggest releases of the week are: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (w/voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Will Forte, etc), Downton Abbey S4 (w/Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle Dockery, etc), Last Vegas (w/Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline) and Rush (w/Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl and Olivia Wilde). If youre looking forward to the Formula One racing in Rush, you might also be interested in the Paul Crowders new documentary 1 -- set in the golden era of Grand Prix Racing. We also added a few more titles to the international television shelves: Johan Falk Trilogy (from Sweden), Vera S3 and The Young Moltalbano (episodes 1-6). Criterion released a whole slew of titles (some for the first time on DVD, all for the first time on BluRay): Stanley Kramers Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963), Jules Dassins Rififi (1955), Michael Manns Thief (1981), Akira Kurosawas Throne of Blood (1957) and Aki Kaurismäkis La Vie de Boheme (1992).
