It looks like its that time of year when the older animals start to struggle and this morning presented another drama. Betsy, the dearest, friendliest bunny had a head tilt and was shaking- even though she was still nose deep in food. Betsy is 8 or 9 and was in early this year for tests which indicated she may have cancer, she is thin but eats well and is as bright as a button although weak on her hind legs. We rushed her to the vet who promptly put her on oxygen and heated her up. She had very gunky ears so we assume she has an ear infection. Shes on antibiotics and she and her friend Runt are now tucked up in the study to stay warm. Betsy is very vulnerable due to her poor condition anyway, so we are worried but as long as she is eating and interested we will do our best for her.
