It looks like that the US is going to launch yet another Operation Cyclone. Only difference is that this time battlefield for CIA is not Afghan mountain but deserts of Middle East. Americans have perfected the art of nurturing proxies and Violent Non State Actors (VNSAs). Can you even imagine that very few US Army Green Berets were behind the training of entire Nicaragua insurgency. According to a report published by Army-Technology website, the Pentagon press secretary navy rear admiral John Kirby said the preparation of curriculum and training sites is underway and instructors are being lined up from the US and all nations from across the coalition. Media reports suggest that right now, coalition partners of the US in ME are deliberating on the the issue that which nation command this training and vetting of these VNSAs which are now being labelled as moderate rebels in Syria to fight against ISIS. Right now, ISIS is a common threat to entire ME. But keeping in mind the volatile history and violent aftermaths of US trained insurgents, the strategy of war through proxies must be revisited. Instead, ME nations must insist upon the US/NATO assistance for national armies against ISIS. Otherwise, tomorrow they will be forced to ask the US again to train more insurgents and militants to fight against these very moderate rebels they are training today.
