It looks like the Amnesty Bill will be coming back up for vote soon. Several parts of it really chafe my ass. First, when they came here, they broke our laws. Which means they are all criminals to an extent. Second, rumor has it, (I have heard this but nothing to back it up) Businesses will be given a $5000 tax break for each on they hire. Third, there is no provision for the Legal aliens already here and doing it the way most of our ancestors did. Shouldnt they be rewarded first since they followed the rules? There are many more points also, but I will focus on these 3 tonight. Keep in mind that if this Bill passes it will add between 6 million to 20 million legal new people to the work force that an employer will receive a $5000 tax break for. Are you secure enough in your job that this doesnt scare you? Are you ready to add 20 or more million people to the unemployment rolls?? The jobs are not there now, how can our economy support this added influx of people?? You ask, but if they are already here, dont they have jobs now? Yes they do, but sub-par jobs that usually pay less. Now that they are legal they will leave those sub-par jobs, and fight for the job you have now. And as those sub-par jobs are vacated, millions more will cross our borders to fill those spots until they are granted amnesty also. Then the cycle will repeat its self over and over. Dont get me wrong, I have all the respect in the world for the ones trying to come here via the legal process. But if you came here illegally, you should be shipped back to what ever country you came from with no hope of ever becoming a U.S. Citizen.
