It might be a pattern for me to reach final exam time and feel deep paranoia about whether or not Ive succeeded in reaching kids in a variety of ways. This year, my concern has centered on the fear that weve spent too much time on the evidence and not enough time in the Word or on the Gospel. Today, Im grading this test by a student who scored 7/53 on the first three pages, but in response to the final essay question, she wrote: The most important thing that I have learned this year in class is that we are created by God, loved by God, dead in our sin, and redeemed only by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith in Him, stated in Ephesians 2:8. If we believe we are to live with Him eternally in Heaven because he forgave our sins so we could live for Him.
