It must be meant for me to do the Daniel fast. I am terrible with diets but this one is for prayer purposes. Today I went to the health food store to pick up supplies. While I was there the sweetest lady started talking to me. I asked if she was from Germany. My cousin married a German 50 years ago and she still has her accent. This lady was from Russia. Of course I had to ask what brought her to AL. She said a man from Cherokee. I said Oh your husband was working in Russia and met you, She started laughing and said no I was a mail order bride. For a minute I thought she was kidding. But then she told me how he couldnt find a wife here that liked to cook, clean and was down to earth. They have now been married for 12 years. She talked about how his Mother taught her how to make foods he liked, and how much she loved his Mother. We talked for awhile and I gave her my name and phone number. I told her we must go to lunch so we can learn more about each other. I am going to ask her if she has a much younger sister for someone I know. Everybody has a story and I love hearing them.
