It must be something about sisters that make such beautiful harmonies. Some of my favorite singers/groups have been sisters: Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, Carnie and Wendy Wilson of Wilson Phillips, Tracey Bryn and Melissa Brooke Belland of Voice of the Beehive. My newest musical obsession is a duo that has been around for a while but I have only recently discovered Tegan and Sara. Tegan Rain Quin and Sara Kiersten Quin present a wide range of musical tastes and styles, but my most recent discovery is their 2012 album Heartthrob. It is one of those rare albums I consider perfection - not a bad song on the album. Very similar to Voice of the Beehive, it is a wonderful mix of 80s/90s synth pop with a slightly more modern dance edge.
