It never occured to me years ago that I could fall in love with cast iron!! But I have indeed, one pan in particular comes to mind. Our Lodge 4-in-1 chicken fryer!!! It is on the top of my list in favorites. This is the most versatile of our pans. I have cooked so many complete meals in this pan. It is worth evey penny of the money we spent. If you are considering purchasing one for your kitchen (I highly reccommend) then go for it!!!! With a trivet placed in the bottom of the pan your chicken will bake like a dream. The fat all goes to the bottom of the pan and the chicken is juicy and delish everytime. With the right amount of oil your chicken will fry up to perfection and give the Colonel a good run for his money. Pork butts and roasts with taters, onions, carrots, lots of spices, mmmm!! The list of recipes for this pan goes on and on. You can take the lid off and use it for a skillet too!! Our eggs slide around like they are cooking on glass. Its a deep skillet, a fryer, a Dutch oven, and the lid converts to a shallow skillet or griddle. This versatile piece of cast iron cookware allows the preparation of almost any recipe. Great for kitchen and outdoor cooking. If I come up missing, look in the kitchen, I am most likely giving our cast iron some good lovin!!!!!
