It occurs to me that some may have some misconceptions about my beautiful grand daughter Braeleigh still, let me clear some of them up. Braeleigh has Aperts Syndrome, it is a very rare condition that is totally curable in her case. In short it is a chromosome disorder, she is missing her 10th chromosome which is the one that tells your body to form in the womb, most babies with Aperts have serious medical problems, they cant eat, breath on their own, blindness, deafness, developmental, brain, etc. Braeleigh is 100% healthy, she will walk, talk, go to school, go to college, get married, have children of her own. She will be absolutely normal! Her condition has only affected her physical appearance, what society believes is a normal appearance. She will have to have many surgeries to correct her head shape, and many to separate her fingers. Her drs think she is a miracle, and so do we! Most babies with Aperts have to go to the nicu for weeks, Braeleigh didnt even go to the regular nursery let alone the nicu. She is an amazing little girl, she is my little blessing, and I know she is Elizabeths big blessing, Uncle Brandon was working overtime thats for sure. Keep praying for her, and us, her first surgery will be at 6 months and its a big one so she needs them all! Thank you and God bless!
