It only takes a spark to get a fire going.... God lit a spark in Deb and Mike Gilbert to move to Uganda and they continue to walk faithfully as He leads them as develop One City Ministries.... As teams from the US have the opportunity to visit them, individuals witness and experience firsthand a small glimpse of the purpose, vision and mission that God has planted in the heart of the Gilberts and how God is growing it through one relationship at a time. Rachel Gearheart, Jay and Andrea Ranson were among those whose came back last August believing this mission is distinctively different than most efforts to help others and began to pray about how God wanted to use them to support One City Ministries and help grow support and awareness here in the states. One result was the prayerful intention of putting together a group of ambassadors, people interested in doing the same thing, learning more about OCM in order to help increase stateside support for them, hence, The Light Team was formed! Thank you, Rachel, Jay and Andrea- its because of your response to the heart connection you made with the people you met, you being faithful to listen to Gods voice and being willing to act when He called on you to lead, and your servant hearts, ready to be in a position be guided by Deb and Mike that the rest us had the incredible opportunity to be a part of this team and I know we will all be forever changed for the better!
