It really hurts me that all some people have to say about others is negative. It doesnt matter whos name you bring up, they think of the bad or tell you the latest thing they know. It saddens me. Honestly it angers me. Ive been guilty, but being hurt myself taught me so much. As Christians, we are supposed to see the good in others and uplift them where they are wrong. I have friends who I dont agree with in every area, but I love them. I can still be there friend. I need them and they may need me. Your example, love and encourage is what moves them to change or plants the seed, not slander, gossip or reducible. That runs them off. Let God do the rest of the work and the judging. Jesus walked among sinners and sat down with them, but not to ridicule. He loved them. This is a reminder that we just need to live godly and witness with open arms. The world needs more open arms. Go out and look around. We all need friends and this is surely how you will make them. He put us here for each other and to lift each other up, not to tear down. You never know what that person is facing or why, but you just could be what they are looking for to help. If all they see is negative, then what impression does that give on a Christian. I know what its like to be down, at the bottom, and think nobody cares or understands. I didnt try to throw my life away, but I made wrong choices. I will always remember the difference few made to me. Nothing positive comes from a negative person. One person can encourage and say something nice to make you feel a little worthy, and it gives you all the initiative you need to keep trying. More and more could be won if we would do what God wants and reach out instead of pointing fingers or gossip. Make the difference in their life and point them to Christ, unless you are just that insecure and miserable yourself. If some would try it, they would learn how much better they would feel about themselves. True joy and peace comes when you help others by serving God. People should try it sometime. I need God as well.
