(a) This chapter does not require a governmental body to conduct an open meeting: (1) to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee I am requesting a determination if the provision of Section 551.074 allows for interviewing of candidates for election to the board of directors of the McLennan County Appraisal District in closed session. I am requesting a determination if candidates for election to the board of directors of the McLennan County Appraisal District meet the definition of public officer as provided by the Texas Open Meetings Act.
