It really makes my blood boil when I see our local.conservative MP Chris Kelly pretending to care about his constituency and trying to be one of the lads. He has his MPs salary of over £67,000, plus expenses and all of the other perks that go along with the job, including one of the best pension schemes in the world. In 2013 he was working as a non-executive director at daddys company, for which he was, and presumably is still, receiving a salary of just over £25,000 a year. For that, he worked a grand total of 16 hours A MONTH, which works out at over £130 per HOUR! He also has a property in London that he rents out for an undisclosed sum. So what has he done for the people of Dudley since he became our MP? Well looking at his speeches to parliament and his voting record, very little. He rarely speaks on any issues, invariably obeys his party whip and follows the party line. He even voted with the government to cut local government funding, then writes in the local newspaper telling us how he is doing such a great job of representing us. In short, like the majority of them, he is doing very nicely out of it thank you and is yet another politician who thinks its more important to further his political career than to actually do what he was elected to do, which is to look after OUR interests instead of his own.
