It saddens me to think about Malala Yusafzais future. She is just 17 and has a long life ahead of her. For the next 50 years shed have to bear an incredible burden of proof. Shed have to convince her co-religionists constantly that she was not a stooge of the West, that she was not a vent for western guilt and satisfaction for saving the weak. And to the west shed have to convince that she remains secular enough and true enough for her cause, that she indeed deserved the prize, that it was a pre-emptive but rightly awarded prize. She is great as long she champions the cause of education, and NOT the cause of Muslims in general. Shed never be Pakistani or Muslim enough to be loved by her own countrymen and cant be too Muslim that she threatens the status quo in West. I hope she bears this horrific burden with grace and composure, which she has aplenty. Whole world should be very proud of this special kid and let her be a kid for a while.
