It seems Baby Boomers often fail to understand Millennials perspective, so lemme frame it this way: John Lennon was dead before anyone in my generation was born. Most of us are aware that he was probably the foremost intellectual rebel of the Beatles, but NONE of us were alive to see him in action. What we know is George Harrison being reclusive before he died, Ringo being... ya know... Ringo, and Paul McCartney doing a mediocre Super Bowl show. Shoot, even McCartney teaming up with Michael Jackson for Say Say Say was two years before my birth, and Im a pretty early Millennial. My point? Millennials are keenly aware that Baby Boomers used to be cool, but what weve largely experienced firsthand is the old, commercialized version of that generation.
