It seems a lot of bands have bad reputations in the wedding and event industry. I have recently heard stories of bands showing up with a completely different set of members to where it appeared to be a completely different band, to bands getting wasted and giving a poor show, to the ever so popular “they sounded better on the CD or video.” As you probably know, most professional videos are edited to show the band in the best possible light. This makes it hard for a client to see and hear what the band will actually be like at their wedding or party. Many clients live far away and cant attend a show before making a decision. I really like for our clients to know exactly what they are getting when they hire phase5. I recently decided to bring a small inexpensive camera to some of our gigs to capture some raw footage of our performance. I would compare the camera to the quality of an iphone4 or worse. These videos have not been edited at all. The performances are completely live without any tricks.
