It seems like every day in this crumbling society, we turn on the news and another teenager has killed someone, robbed a store, beat up a senior citizen; the list goes on and on. What the world needs to see more of is our ambitious, happy, smart, beautiful teenagers like Grace. Grace is a freshman at Calhoun High School in Georgia and she brings out the absolute best in everyone, including her teachers and classmates. With such a stigma surrounding Down syndrome (over 95% of detected Down Syndrome babies are aborted), Grace shows us what the world is missing out on and every day she makes the world a better place. Down syndrome does not define someone, it is not a death sentence, and just like the rest of us, no 2 people are the same. Grace loves to do makeup and hair tutorial videos and when she started taking a video production class, taught by Bill Long, she had the help of her best friend, Ryley Balliew, and other students in putting a video together for her first episode of Grace’s Faces. The show has now launched on YouTube and you can count on Grace to put a smile on your face.
