It seems that followers of all religions find a strong excuse not - TopicsExpress

It seems that followers of all religions find a strong excuse not to try to live up to the ideals and models set before them by their founders , saints, seers or Gurus. By declaring that the founders were Gods chosen ones, if not His children, the followers excuse themselves from making any attempt to walk the perilous path that the Masters did. That is the safest method to continue to live ones life on ones own ordinary terms without subjecting oneself to the high standards set by the Masters: just declare Masters as possessing some divine power and you are relieved of the obligation to be like them. In fact, one can easily damn anyone who dares suggest that the Masters can be emulated, and that thats what the Masters truly seemed to want. The goal of every Sikh is to touch the peaks that Guru Nanak Dev, Guru Gobind SIngh and all the other Gurus did. . The goal of every Christian is to rise to glory of Jesus. Every Hindu must believe he himself is the flute and the flute player, Lord Krishna. So must every Muslim not find excuses to remain content with a Non-Mohammad existence. All these prophets were children of God, and all of them declared that everything that moves in this universe is a child of God too. Humility lies not in refusing to emulate these Masters, but in doing so successfully and yet remaining the humblest of humble. I say it , taking a rather bold presumption that God as a force separate from His creation does exist. Scriptures - almost all of those -however maintain that the creator and creation are co-terminous.
