It seems that when the road less traveled is the one you need to take, despite how difficult it may be, little things happen that remind us why we continue. I met a man last night whos life was miserable due to the failure of several social workers. It strengthens my resolve to know that will never happen on my watch. Knowing that my deepest apology and disgust for the wrongs perpetrated by colleagues in my own profession can at most provide some salve, it, nonetheless, helps strengthen my resolve. Despite difficulties, I will never bend to the sadistic tactics and corruption currently found in the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Also, it appears that my daughter and son are proud of my choices. I need to be able to look them in the eye and at myself in the mirror. People, please wake up! Start asking more questions before you just concede to government officials!
