It seems to have been a long time in discussion, but my talk at Sydney ACM SIGGRAPH is happening this Wednesday at 6:30 pm at Metro Screen (Paddington Town Hall) When Dr Shilo McClean first asked me about giving a talk, I was a bit taken aback, Siggraph? Arent they computer people? I just do models! Models! Yes, Looey they do, and theyd be faintly amused at how you used to do Visual Effects back in the dinosaur days. So here I come, with an overview of my film career, in and after miniature effects, with around 90 slides of my work from the early 80s to now. As Im always telling my students You may actually get to DO your dream job, just dont expect it to last forever!
