It seems traffic to the page has picked up considerably since Remembrance Day and an update is long overdue so; Progress this year has been steady and I am still very much committed to the project. Through my work on Anzac 100, I came to the attention of a team who are producing a documentary for broadcast television and I have been asked to contribute content to that. It will be a great documentary produced by a very credible and capable team and I am honoured to be involved. Once that is complete I will return my focus to this project. On Anzac 100; my mission with the project is to bring the events of the First World War to life as realistically as possible. To that end, I am always on the lookout for emerging media technology to see how it may be applied to that mission. In the last 18 months the field of Virtual Reality has moved ahead considerably and we are likely to see the first dedicated consumer VR headsets available in 2015. I have been paying close attention to the field and have conducted a large amount of testing of Anzac 100 content with the Oculus Rift DK2. The results of this testing have been very positive to say the least and I believe Virtual Reality will figure in the future of Anzac 100. Further detail will emerge in the new year. For now, thanks for your interest in the project and thanks for being patient enough to bear with me during some of the longer breaks between posts or updates. Feel free to ask if you have questions about any of the above. Until my next post; enjoy the holiday season, hope to see you in 2015!
