It started with one word “a kiss”. We both remember that day - TopicsExpress

It started with one word “a kiss”. We both remember that day was our first time we met on a rainy day at that coffee shop downtown. I remember sharing to Freddie that I would save my first kiss for the man that God has set aside for me. From that moment, our conversation stirred up his heart and in his quite time he prayed. In his prayer he said, “Dear God, I want a wife like Keziah who has a commitment to save her first kiss for her wedding day. I know through this I will honour You with our first kiss and to respect and honour my future wife.” Days have gone so fast. We’ve noticed that what started as friendly affection has deepened into something even better: Love. It’s still close in my mind that time was so unforgettable and I could see that Freddie was trying hard to let me go. But God has His own story to write about us. His way and His grace have brought us this far. When we started dating, we had made a very special promise to save our first kiss for our wedding day. It might sounds unusual, but we know through this God will be honoured and we want to invite Him in our relationship. When the day finally came, we both knew that we could have come this far only by His grace and mercy. We know that God loves us so much. As I made my way down the aisle, Freddie’s eyes leaked with joy and my heart was overwhelmed. When Freddie spoke his wedding vows, I could see how grateful he was. When he said my name, tears started running down his face. I saw what a beautiful person he was and how beautiful his words were. Tears of joy ran down my face. We both recall feeling very emotional during the prayers and feeling the presence of God during the ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful. Filled with Scripture and promise. Meaningful vows were exchanged and before we knew it, we were married. Friends and family were moved to tears (as were we), and many spoke to us afterward about how much they loved this wedding ceremony in particular. This journey of love won’t be complete without God in our marriage. There is a quote says “Marriage is like a fine wine, as it ages it just gets better.” When marriage life is like a wine, only God who can make our marriage like a fine wine. For a newlywed couple, they usually would taste the sweetness of their marriage in the early age, but we know by having God in our life, we could have fine wine for the rest of our life. We truly believe that our relationship with God is the most important relationship that there is and we are excited to find out where He may lead us and what He may want us to do for Him in the future so that we can one day write the next chapter of “our story”. Proverbs 31: 10-11 “A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.” Love, Freddie and Keziah
