It takes a lot to persuade me that a cause is worth something to which I feel compelled to contribute. The sight of this dead polar bear only serves to highlight the irresponsibility and lack of control in the oil and related industries, in their wanton destruction of pristine and rare habitats in the pursuit of black gold. With the profits these oil companies make from existing sources, there is surely no need, in the light of new and renewable technologies, to continue pursuit of a resource that damages the environment during exploration, extraction, processing, production and use. Support Greenpeace in its attempt to stop Shell and others from hastening the destruction of an already shrinking habitat.
