It takes greatness to stand out amongst the majority. 95% of you can rap, but lack 95% of what it takes to be great. So many factors are required in order for you to be the emcee that grows to become great, the one that succeeds and stands out above the rest. You need to be ORIGINAL, you require PRESENCE, your VOICE plays a big role, LYRICAL ABILITY, PERSONA, no need for me to post all that is required, so Ill drop one more and say that PEOPLE NEED TO BELIEVE IN YOU. This is a huge accomplishment. Toronto, home of the screwface, the hardest place on earth to win people over. Toronto, where people pay $30 to come to your show just to boo you. They had everyone on their toes, arms waving in the air, belting out the lyrics to each track performed... the crowds were in the palm of their hands. As for the actual rapping being 5% of it, and the business being the main ingredient, we;ll save that for another day. Just give some thought to matters the next time you really think youre making some noise, or that you have a movement. Youre only 1% of the way to where you really think youre at with your music.
