It takes nine months for life to grow and that’s what it took for the construction of Kaktus Brewing Company, Inc. to be completed, and now, Bernalillo’s premium brewery has been born. It wasn’t an easy nine months, with inspection delays due to the great mudslides in Bernalillo which brought tons of mud and water into the front door of the new brewery. But, after grading and drainage issues were skillfully resolved, the only thing flowing at the Kaktus Brewing Company is the incredible fresh-brewed beer. As we begin our soft opening today until our Grand Opening on October 1st, we invite you to come out and taste the masterful brews by our Brewmaster, Mike Waddy. We’ll be serving a preview menu created by our very own chef, with the full menu rolling out for the Grand Opening. Kaktus Brewing Company hopes to be the gathering place for the community for laughter and fun. From the quaint patio to the outdoor games area, there is something for everyone. There are always little ones accompanying their parents and even your pets will be welcome at this environmentally conscious establishment. The brewery has utilized solar energy and water recycling in their efforts to promote sustainability and protect our great State of New Mexico. Of course, the main attraction at Kaktus Brewing Company is definitely the beer. The London Porter which is smooth, somewhat toasty, with backgrounds of chocolate, nuts and coffee is waiting for you to sample. If the Porter is not your style, don’t worry, we have more brews such as: Helles, Hefeweizen, ESB and Pale Ale. Because our brews are so unique and original, we will brew up close to 360 barrels a year. So, don’t wait, come on out and check out the local beer and local flavor, you won’t be disappointed. Kaktus Brewing Company is conveniently located at 471 South Hill Rd, Bernalillo, NM, just west of I-25, one driveway north of the KOA CAMPGROUND. The brewery will be open from 11:30 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
