It troubles me every time I hear someone describing God the Father - TopicsExpress

It troubles me every time I hear someone describing God the Father as an angry God. The problem with this description of God is that it is a false statement. It is true that God the Father gets angry sometimes because of our sin but His anger is not like our anger. When God the Father displays His anger He does so in righteousness. He is not sitting on some throne looking down His nose at us or waving an angry finger in our face asking us why we committed some particular sin. He already knows why we sin. What is true about God the Father is also true about the Lord Jesus Christ. The Gospels provide us with a true testimony of the character of God the Father through Jesus Christ His son. In the Gospels Jesus never approach an unbeliever in an angry or condemning way. What he did though was instruct sinners to follow him. He encouraged them to go and sin no more. He looked upon sinners with compassion and showed them compassion, mercy and grace. Like God the Father Jesus knows why we sin. He gave is life freely to deliver us from sin and to change us forever. His mercy and grace are still available today regardless of our sin. Yes, the Lord Jesus Christ will judge the world one day. When that day is nobody knows. Until then He is still calling us to an intimate relationship with Him. Please trust in the Lord Jesus Christ today. That’s a decision one will never regret. I pray that we are living in the light today by abiding in Christ and living in the fullness of the Holy Spirit of God. May God the Father bless us today. Yours in Christ Jesus, Keith
