It was 18 years ago Queens birthday weekend that myself and a friend were travelling Australia from Vic in our beaten up HQ Station wagon with our whole life filled to the roof inside wondering where we going to end up . We stopped at Mermaid Beach Motel and booked in for 2 weeks . The first night the car was broken into and robbed :/ The Second night it was broken into again , The third night Helen and i were crossing over the gold coast highway to get to the night owl for munchies and we got called sluts. ummm i seem to remember we were in our pjs lol So we went back to motel and thought Should we stay or should we move on We slept on it and decided to stay !!!! WELL what a great adventure. Im still here 18 years later . Came from bush , Went to city to beach living and now back to Bush :) Fun Times & Great memories :)
