It was Friday morning of the 17th day of the month of Ramadan. A man called Muhammad (Upon whom be peace ) and his revolutionary message had brought father(s),brothers ,son(s)and uncle(s) face to face on the field of Badr. This was the day when scores between the Haqq(truth ) and baatil(falsehood) were to be settled. Muhammad (Peace be upon him ) and his team were weak ,fraile and fasting whilst the Quraish and his cronies had come all guns blazing. Battle broke and heads were seen flying from the bodies. Muslims got stronger in belief All the time chanting AHAD AHAD (The one The one). Quraish suffered heavy losses and fleed from the battlefield marking the victory of Muslims and emergence of soon to be super power to have ever existed on the face of this earth. Victory at the battle of Badr affirmed the fruits of being united as a brotherhood under one leader/commander. The one who solidified their lines and made them like an immovable wall. It has been 1434 years when 313-317 men faced an army three times their size and came back with victory .Today we are 1.6 Bn ( and growing ) in number but still the most oppressed and targeted nation of this time. May Allah (SWT) allow us to work tirelessly to bring back the shield that will protect the honour and lives of the Ummah. Ameen.
