It was September 2009 and I was in the hospital very sick. They ran lots of tests and were giving me blood and I was not sure what was wrong. Jenna and everyone kept coming to see me, but they all had to go and be at work on one day except Mayling. She didnt tell anyone, but she took the day off work to come and sit with me at the hospital. That day I will never forget. Dr Parikh (now my oncologist) came into the room and said he had some news for me and needed to talk. He looked at Mayling and asked if I wanted her to stay in the room. I said yes please she is like a daughter to me. He said ok and proceeded to tell me I had a rare type of stomach cancer and may not have much time left to live. May May was by my side holding me and we were both crying. She kept telling me in her cheerful happy spirit way that I would be OK and for me not to cry and that she would not leave me until Jenna came back. I cant believe that my May May got cancer next and it has taken her before me. I know this is a sad memory to post, but her strength, her happiness, her warmth and caring way, just took care of me that day. Many other happy times I remember of course too like all the pancake breakfasts I fed her and the girls at my kitchen table while they were growing up and all the prom nights and fancy times they all dressed up. Mayling I love you and know you are a shinning star in heaven now. I will miss you and love you forever. Love, Chris xoxox
