It was a Sunday morning in April, I was getting ready for Church, - TopicsExpress

It was a Sunday morning in April, I was getting ready for Church, talking to God in my thoughts; I felt like a balloon that was deflating rapidly. All I could say to myself was, ‘Just keep doing what you know you should do – pray, thank God, spend time with your Church family, love people and write books’. Aside from those things it felt like I was walking in the dark; doors of hope continued to shut in my face. That morning I said, “God, if you want me to write books then just lead me to people who want me to write books for them.” That day at Church a friend told me about Erik, he had a story to tell but needed someone to write it. As we spoke, Erik walked by and we were introduced – no coincidence! I had stopped hoping, I no longer got excited about opportunities because I was getting used to them coming to nothing. Erik on the other hand was really excited. He text me and was keen to meet up and talk. I was a bit surprised by his enthusiasm, but I agreed to meet. On the day, all expectation had vanished, so I didn’t even take a pen or paper with me. I went with an ear to listen but was expecting the door to close in my face yet again. As soon as we spoke, I felt God’s presence and I knew that the meeting we were having was God’s Will. In the middle of Bryant Park, we both shed tears as we talked about 40 DAYS OF HOPE, neither of us knew what was going to happen but we knew that God was in it and we agreed that all we wanted was for God to lead the process.
