It was a Sunday morning in December 2006 and you were home on leave but leaving back out the next day. Church was over and I had gone out to the car. Mom got in the car and asked me if I had gotten your address... I said no mother why would he want this big ole pregnant girl to write him a letter..... at her pushing I went back in the church and asked for your address. December 31st at 11 pm you called me from Okinawa to wish me a Happy New Year. That February you came back home and our relationship officially started. I know my mom would like to take the credit but I know it was a God thing...... fast forward 6 months and we were married. Today marks 17 years. I thought I loved you then but my love has grown so much I dont know how you could call what I felt then anything other than puppy love. You were a gift to me from God at a time in my life that I didnt feel worthy of a gift....I am so very thankful for these passed 17 years and pray He gives us many more. We have made it through some things I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy, but God was the glue that held us together. You are my soulmate and best friend and I love you with all of my heart!!!
