It was a five grizzly day in Yellowstone yesterday but before we saw the playful Hayden Valley sow, we saw this large boar feasting on a bison carcass in the Yellowstone River. Apologies if this is too graphic for some, but carrion is an important food source for grizzlies as they emerge from their dens. This big boar had taken control of the carcass and spent the day eating and sleeping near his prize. Well be leaving shortly to return to Yellowstone in hopes of seeing some more grizzlies today.
