It was a good day at the Referee and Novice Tournament in Mauston - TopicsExpress

It was a good day at the Referee and Novice Tournament in Mauston today. Paragon Judo club has a really nice facility. Tom Gustin and Jim Weidner got a chance to officiate quite a few matches. Valuable knowledge for any Sensei. Another student got a chance to try out the computer scoreboard. Two more learned about using the stopwatches for backup scoring. A nice group of students got their feet wet in the competition pool. Our youngest competitor brought home a shiny medal with a Beaver wearing a Judogi that he thought was very cool. It looked to me like everybody was having fun. For the kids, that is what Judo should be like. Eager to learn, eager to play. Thanks to Marc Barbaccia for hosting it, and thanks to everyone who helped make Wisconsin Judo better and stronger.
