It was a good morning! Everybody ate well. Last night before bed, I gave the babies a little food - Oliver got his leftovers plus a little bit more - and he at well then, too. Jane is eating well, also. As I said, the new rabbit meat is a big hit - seems fresher and its cheaper to ship, so Ill be ordering from them again. Im hoping that the new chicken is as big a hit as the rabbit - because its a little bit cheaper than the rabbit, and a little variety is important! For those just joining me, I raw feed my cats - as in they eat raw meat mixed with kitty appropriate supplements. I had been buying from Felines Pride, and the kittens had been happily chowing down on their chicken. Oliver and Jane both had some kind of upper respiratory infection going on with stuffy heads, and at the same time started refusing their food. I tried adding canned food to the mix, even, but they hardly ate anything for a couple of days until I started feeding them rabbit meat. They really enjoyed the Felines Pride rabbit. I have since found another source for both chicken and rabbit that is cheaper, although it requires that I mix up the meat with supplements myself. I started with a 5 lb. container of rabbit and a powdered complete nutritional supplement and found it quite simple to mix it a pound or two at a time with just a fork. Absolutely a better deal overall, and the kittens and Sianna all love it! Ive also got their chicken meat and will be trying that over the next few days to see how well they like that.
