It was a great start to the year for Brothers Clocktower Hotel, 1st grade with a successful day of cricket yesterday. After losing the toss and being sent in, the opportunity to score runs was used with a classy innings from number 4, Mitch Kroehnert who finished his innings on 189. The partnership between Mitch and his brother Jake (324) set a solid platform to launch next weekend. After declaring at 3/388, opening bowler Bill Weatherstone took 3 early wickets with support from younger brother Wacko Jacko Weatherstone, who earned himself 1 wicket. The boys showed a great mindset for the first game of the year, everyone deserves a pat on the back for putting all the hard work at training into the game. It was great to see players from other grades congratulating the boys as they walked into the Clocktower, it showed great club spirit. Lets continue the good work. Well done
