It was a killing that stunned a city for its timing and brazenness. A 16-year-old boy gunned down on a busy Downtown street during Fourth of July celebrations in 2013. Police moved quickly and prosecutors charged an 18-year-old eight days later with Monquize Edwards murder. But Friday, the murder charge against Eron Bonner was dropped, with Deputy Prosecutor Denise Robinson citing uncooperative witnesses.
