It was a rocky start to my favorite track in the country. 3 finals in a row, with 2 wins and 2 super bowl rings. We changed way to much on the car, but the boys at Hellion forced us to spend some bucks. At the end of the weekend it was me and Joe in one of the best finals yet. 8.67 to my 8.68 with a hole shot win. Great race, doesnt get much better than that. That was also our quickest pass to date in the car. That put us in the running for a super bowl ring for the third year in a row. We ran the car to another new best of 8.63@162 mph and we won our race, and the NMRA took the super bowl again giving me my 3rd ring! Cant say enough things about everyone that makes this thing do what it does. First, my wife Jennifer and the girls for putting up with all the late nights away working on the car. My crew chief Brian Campbell for giving up all of his spare nights working on the car too. My track wife as my wife puts it, Brandy Cisco for the constant errand running. She made a trip to Jegs on Saturday 3 hours to get fittings we had to have for the transmission. Ken, Jon, and Jon Jr. at Lund racing who keep making the tune up even better and making the stock ecu shine against all the big $$ efi systems! Rob Lewis @ Rogue race cars for setting up the chassis with some great parts from Team Z, Viking, BMR and STrange! MMR for some great parts and Tony and the Boys @ BES Racing Engines for assembling a stout block! Rossler for a great trans, and ATF for a killer converter. A big shout out to Lance and the Crew @ Vortech for working the JT trim into a stout blower! All of my other sponsors, Exedy Racing, Stainless Works Exhaust, and UPR Products. Another big shout out to the NMRA for putting on such a great event and giving us a place to race, and the crew @ Route 66 for doing a hell of a job with all the rain that we had.
