It was a usual meeting . Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and his companions gathered around him to hear the words of wisdom & guidance . Suddenly a poor man in rags appeared saluting the assembly by saying Salam . Every1 sat down comfortably . Prophet Muhammad (SAW) Had taught them that all the Muslims are brothers & in an assembly,one should sit whenever he finds a place regardless of any status . Now it so happened that the poor man sat next to a rich man . The rich man felt very disturbed & tried to collect the edges ov his dress so that it doesnt touch the poor man . Prophet Muhammad (SAW) Saw this & asked the rich man : Perhaps youre afraid that his poverty would affect you? No, O Messenger of Allah! said the rich man Prophet Muhammad (SAW) then asked : Then perhaps youre scared that your wealth would go flying to him? Or you feared that your clothes would become dirty if it would touch him? No,O Allahs Messenger said the rich man again Then why did you draw yourself and your clothes away from him? asked Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) The rich man feeling guilty replied : I admit that i have done the worse thing . It was an error & i confess my guilt . Now to make emends fo it,il give half ov my wealth to this Muslim brother so that i may be forgiven . Just as he said this,the poor man rose and said : O prophet ov Allah, i dont accept this offer every1 stared at him in shock thinking what a fool the poor man was losing a fine chance . The poor man continued : O Allahs Messenger! I refuse to accept this offer because then i might also become arrogant & ill treat the Muslim brotherx the way he did to me . Allah doesnt see your wealth & appearance but infact he sees your heart and deeds : Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)
