It was a very tense hour or so but I finally got the Scotch tension to work with my inept actions and actually spun on my wheel!!!!! I might end up with a stroke, but I just have to remember that it took me about four days of extremely stressful effort to get anything spun on Harold! My old spinning wheel. This is a huge improvement. And I think I need to hedge my bet somewhat... I was trying to spin on a hardwood floor (slippery!) and in my wheely office chair (moving too much and probably wrong height)... I think I need to move it into my room with carpet and a stiffer, solid chair. I am sure I will have better results! Duh... But I was just too excited. I have three pounds of my sheep fleece here, carded and ready to draft. I fully expect to run through it all as I learn to get in good synch with my little Honey Bee... I believe I am going to call her Queenie... For the bee name and also because I loved the character Queenie in this BBC series... Lark Rise to Candleford...
