It was almost 5:30 when the Womens Ministry team rolled back to home base today. The wood cutters finished their task yesterday so some of them joined up with the other two teams. It is 7 oclock here now and the roofing team is still in Hays finishing up a residence. Chris and members from the other two teams just drove off with a load of good stuff for the local intervention organization. Some of the ladies are preparing dinner while the others are packing everything that is not in immediate use. As usual, the Montana Missions folks refuse to waste a single precious second. It is difficult to process all that God has done this week through the selfless sacrifice of these spiritual warriors. 90+ professions alone would leave ones head spinning. But then we have to factor in the ministering part of this ministry. People were fed and clothed and children were given really cool school supplies for the next year. Native American ladies were loved on by their Caucasian counterparts and made to feel as special as they really are. A brand new point of ministry was established and the response there was WAY more than we could ask or think. (Im thinking Eph. 3:20 here). Tomorrow we will pile into our respective vehicles and begin the long journey home. For the most part we will return to our regular lives but I think there will always be with us the “Big Questions”… How are those new converts doing? Are they growing in the faith?.. Have they found a place in a local church?.. Do they have a Bible? I am so very glad 1st Lavaca let us ‘tag along’ again this year. That cousin of mine has this mission stuff figured out pretty well and God is blessing her vision and evangelism efforts in extraordinary ways. It is 10:25 our time as I conclude this post and the roofing crew is just now driving into the parking lot. Going to help them get loaded and then off to bed. If you haven’t figured it out yet, that “God is Good” saying?... It’s true!
