It was during lunch time today, and I was crashing from hunger and tiredness. In addition to that, Liam was complaining, Henry wasnt happy, I kept dropping everything, and the microwave was acting up... Blah blah blah...and so I was getting cranky. So Roman came over to me and said, Mommy, are you ouchie? Should I pray for you? I paused. And I wondered to myself why he asked me that question. So I inquired, Ro, did you ask me that because Im cranky? He sweetly replied, Uh huh. Are you ouchie? Because I can pray for you. So I got down on my knees beside him, and told him that I was really tired and was feeling cranky, and that Id love if he prayed over me. Dear Jesus, he prayed. Thank you that mommy wont be cranky any more and that we have a good day. Amen. And I was just thinking... Wouldnt it be neat if we looked at everyone through those eyes? If instead of judging them or being cranky in return, we decided: If theyre cranky, there must be a reason. I will pray over them. Kids have a lot to teach us, I think. ❤️
